BMES has been featured in Farms and Farm Machinery!
For farmers looking for some heavy-duty earthmoving machinery that’s built to handle larger jobs, Brisbane Mini Excavator Sales (BMES) is supplying the 21-tonne HD668D loader and HG120/140 grader from Hercules.
With a 245 horsepower (183kW) Cat-nominated engine, six-tonne rated load capacity and 4.5 cubic metre bucket, the HD668D loader is designed for taking on dam building works, stick raking, moving large amounts of soil and construction waste or other material. With a maximum dumping height of 3m, a hydraulic quick hitch allows for easy swapping of attachments, while articulated hydraulic steering and joystick control make operation easy.
The rollover protection system/falling object projection system (ROPS/FOPS)-certified cab, a luxurious cabin with an integrated high efficiency heating and cooling system and everything that an operator needs.
It’s this heavy-duty nature that makes this loader stand out for the agricultural market, says BMES Sales Executive Steven Ragenovich. “A lot of leading cattle farms and pastoralists have been buying these from us,” he says.
“They have a lot of land to manage and maintain, so something of this size that has the flexibility of the quick hitch really appeals to them. They often add hydraulic rippers on the back as well for removing tree roots or preparing soil. I’ve also spoken to guys working in the fertiliser and green waste industries, so it’s not just farmers, it’s agriculture related businesses who are interested in this loader’s capabilities, too.”
With a two-year/2,000-hour warranty on parts and labour and a three-year/4,000-hour warranty on the engine, backed up by BMES’ spare parts backup and technical support, Ragenovich says that the lack of complicated electronics is a bonus for farmers who want a straightforward machine that gets on with the job.
“Finish-wise it’s built to a European-build standard,” he says. “Overall, it’s the quality of the build that really stands out. We’ve been elated with the industry’s response to this loader and the number of units we’ve sold.”
Also sporting a ROPS/FOBS-certified cabin, simple electronics and two-year/2,000-hour warranty, the Hercules HG120/140 grader has 12-foot (3.7m) and 14-foot (4.3m) interchangeable blades and a five-tine hydraulic rear ripper. With a 190hp (142kW) Cat-nominated engine, 20-tonne operating weight, it has a travel speed of 40km/h forward and 25km/h backwards and 30 per cent more room in the 1.9m-high cab than others in its class. The cab being mounted on the front frame gives an unobstructed view down to the blade and front axle.
“These graders are commonly used for clearing access roads for example,” Ragenovich says of a typical application. “It’s been designed with the agricultural industry in mind – giving the customer a new high-quality machine for the price of a used machine.”
The sole distributor of Hercules machinery in Australia, Ragenovich says BMES prides itself on its dedicated sales team, efficient supply of spare parts and the comprehensive servicing and spare parts packages on offer. Supplying machines and spare parts nationwide, from its HQ in Queensland and distributor in South Australia, he says that the high level of industry knowledge held within the teams means customers have that support on hand, 24/7, wherever they are.
“We’ve been here for over 30 years – we’re a company with longevity, experience and reliability,” he says. “Whatever a customer is looking for, we strive to exceed their expectations.”
